A bright future for Brentwood Borough
UNDER THE CONSERVATIVES OUR LOCAL COUNCIL HAS A POSITIVE FIVE YEAR PLAN TO TAKE OUR BOROUGH FORWARD
Despite the challenging times that we live in Brentwood Council has managed to deliver a budget that protects frontline services and keeps the increase in the council tax at under 50 pence per month.
The budget that has been passed does the following :
- It protects frontline services during a difficult economic period.
- It recognises the financial pressures on our staff and the need to pay them fairly.
- It supports funding of major projects such as The Baytree Centre re-development and the football hub planned for The Brentwood Centre, Doddinghurst Road.
We have managed to achieve these successes by organising our operations in an effective way by schemes such as the reorganisation of roadside recycling (the blue and white bags) which now results in Brentwood receiving substantial sums of money rather than the service being run at a cost.
Opposition councillors sadly don't usually support our initiatives but they never explain where they would have found the money that we have saved.
We have also made a stand against the Labour Mayor of London and his plan to expand the ULEZ charging zone. This is a tax grab against motorists who cannot afford to upgrade their cars and will hit many Brentwood residents and local small businesses.
On Thursday, 4th May you can keep Brentwood on the right track by voting Conservative.
