Brentwood Borough Council launches Coffee Truck Partnership
Conservative led Brentwood Council, in a partnership with Grove House School has agreed to buy a coffee truck which will be stationed outside the Town Hall to help pupils with special educational needs gain commercial skills and experience to help them transition from student life to adult life.
Grove House School Brentwood is part of the SEAX Trust which has five Academies across Essex. The SEAX Trust offer specialist provision to students with speech, language, communication, emotional and mental health needs as well as pupils with an autism diagnosis.
It was proposed to Grove House School Brentwood that students could potentially gain customer facing and retail experience from the coffee van. It is envisaged that visitors and staff will find this a convenient location for coffee and food.
The coffee van can also be taken to community events such as Family Fun days and Brentwood Business Showcase.
