VISIT TO BRENTWOOD & ONGAR BY ANNA FIRTH MP
Brentwood & Ongar Conservatives have recently welcomed Member of Parliament for Southend West, Anna Firth MP to address local members at a constituency dinner which was attended by Brentwood & Ongar Member of Parliament, Dr Alex Burghart.
Anna was elected to Parliament on 3rd February 2022 at the by-election that was triggered by the sad death of the late Sir David Amess MP. Since being elected Anna has been working with neighbouring MP Sir James Duddridge MP to help deliver the benefits of City status for residents across Southend.
Chairman of Brentwood & Ongar Conservatives, Cllr Keith Barber said: “We were really delighted to have Anna come and speak to our association members and we particularly applaud her campaign working with our Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, in seeking to close the legislative loophole that permits the sale of so called ‘Zombie knives’, in order to help build safer communities.”
Anna, who is the newest MP within the county of Essex launched her community safety campaign following the discovery of a horrific knife being found in a private residence in Leigh-On-Sea.
This month she completed her first anniversary as Member of Parliament for the Southend West constituency.
